ANTIK BATIK is a French designer brand founded by Gabriella Cortese in 1992. From the beginning she cultivated her own, very authentic style of “Boho-Chic”. Natural materials meet a fusion of artistic influences, while embroidery and patterns embody the dandy-like elegance of a world traveler.

The collection selected by Silvia Gattin fits in every autumn wardrobe. The brightly colored patterns & colors dolls up every outfit, no matter how simple, and ensure a good mood even on dark autumn days.

    • Shearling Coat

      623,00

Silvia’s great source of inspiration are the 70s and the then hippie trail from Europe to India. In Afghanistan, where also the richly decorated A HEART AT PEACE bags come from, Silvia came across old craftsmanship again.

This luxurious lambskin coat is handmade near Kabul and features traditional Afghan fur trim and classic details.

The sheepskin for the coats is sourced from an animal-friendly farm in Afghanistan’s northern mountainous region (Pamirs) bordering China, and is a biodegradable byproduct of the local meat industry. The sheep graze freely each day on miles of mountainous grassy hills. The animals are then used for the local meat industry and their wool is used to make warm winter coats, like those worn by locals for thousands of years.

Silvia uses only naturally sustainable, biodegradable materials that leave minimal footprint in our environment. We believe in a conscious, conservative approach to consumption and want our pieces to be used for many years to come.

This classic coat sees its purpose in moving from generation onto generation. The timeless concept makes it possible to fit in perfectly in any trend era.

    • Shearling Suzani Coat

      1.150,00

Being constantly inspired by the elements of the ’70s Silvia teamed up again with ancient hippie trail artisans from Afghanistan and sourced incredibly warm and cozy coats and vests.

This luxurious fur coat is handmade out of Kabul and features traditional Afghan fur trims and Suzani embroidery.

Suzani is a type of embroidered and decorative tribal textile made in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and other Central Asian countries. The word derives from the Persian “suzan” which means needle. They have become highly collectable and valued for their beautiful decoration and fine craftsmanship.
Suzani fabrics usually have a cotton or silk base, which is embroidered in silk or cotton thread. Popular design motifs include sun and moon disks, flowers, leaves and vines, fruits and occasional fish and birds, all of which have been thought to be the suzanis with spiritual powers, offering protection or strength to their owners. Suzanis are colored with vegetal dyes.

The sheep suede for the coats is ethically sourced in the northern mountain part of Afghanistan (Pamir) bordering China and is a biodegradable by-product of the local meat industry. The sheeps roam free every day, grazing upon miles of mountainous grassy hills. Eventually, the animals are used for the local meat industry and their wool is used to make warm winter coats such as those that Afghan locals have been wearing for thousands of years.

Silvia only uses natural sustainable, biodegradable materials that leave a minimal trace in our environment. We believe in a conscious, conservative approach to consumption and want our pieces to be kept for years to come.
