CLOTHES AREN’T GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD. THE WOMEN WHO WEAR THEM WILL.
Silvia Gattin’s focus is on upholding cultural respect and social responsibility trying to leaving behind no ‘human footprint’. All of the clothes featured here are produced under ethical working conditions using mainly handcrafted fabrics keeping in mind our precious environment.
Silvia’s pieces are timeless and are designed to be kept for generations. She travels across the world to find the most unusual, beautiful, sustainable, fabrics and the best embroiderers, weavers, and ateliers. Her items never go out of style, and are designed to be worn year after year.
If the temperatures rise the desire for airy parts with relaxed cuts and for light materials increases. The summer trend accessories are in line: for example the traditional Indian block print. The light cotton fabric was elaborately printed by hand with wooden models. These pretty dresses are perfect for hot days as they are very light and loose. An individual dress for every woman.
However, if the temperatures drop and it gets cold outside you want something woolly warm. Silvia Gattin’s luxurious lambskin vests and coats are handmade out of Kabul and feature traditional Afghan fur trims and embroidery called Suzani. Silvia only uses natural sustainable, biodegradable materials that leave a minimal trace in our environment. We believe in a conscious, conservative approach to consumption and want our pieces to be kept for years to come.
